What makes me different?
I’m different from most coaches in several ways:
1) I don’t waste time on diagnoses. Why point out bad habits if someone’s never learned how to do something in the first place? Skipping this step saves 10%-15% of your time and expense.
2) I’m not a former actor who teaches breathing and self-visualization exercises or leads group cheerleading sessions. I’m a former journalist with the NYTimes Magazine and other prestigious publications. That means two things. One: I’ve been paid to tell stories, which (I think) makes me qualified to teach others how to tell stories. Two: accordingly, my method prioritizes content— improving your storytelling skills, organizational techniques, word choice, slide design and flow—then teaches you how to use your body and voice to deliver your content for maximum effect. My logic is that working on delivery skills whie using subpar content is putting the cart before the horse. Great, streamlined content makes delivery easier and more comfortable.
I don’t teach you how to be confident, I teach you how to formulate your ideas in ways that are easy to express and which connect you with your audience. Once you’ve learned how to repeat this and can see that it’s possible, then you feel confident—-and away you go.
3) I work fast. I keep engagements short. My clients are in a hurry, and I respect their time.
